- Cafe Under the Stars Arts Event, Friday April 20, 7:45pm: Taller Puertorriqueno, a community based arts collective in North Kensington, will be hosting Cafe Under the Stars, with 7 cafes throughout the area showcasing artwork from Philadelphia’s latino community. - Book and Science Festival’s Carinval on the Parkway, Saturday April 21, 11am-4pm: Two huge Philly festivals have come together for one great big carnival on the Ben Franklin Parkway! The Book Festival and Science Festival will be celebrating with three stages of live entertainment, great food from local restaurants and food trucks, plus be one of the first to take a tour of the revamped Sister Cities Park . - Clark Park’s World Record Setting “Picnic for the Planet”, Sunday April 22, noon: The Nature Conservancy is working throughout the world for it’s Picnic for the Planet, in an attempt to set the Guiness World Record for most people picnicing in a 24 hour period. Locally, Clark Park in West Philly will be taking part. And if you needed another reason to enjoy a picnic on a beautiful day, Elevation Burger will provide free food for the first 100 visitors.
